St John’s Talbots School Sheltered Area

Visiting St. John's Talbots School and installing a Motiva Mono was a real honour. At 5000mm x 4000mm and in a bright red that matched the building, it added some much needed protection from the elements and was attached to the building with wall brackets reducing the posts in the play space.

The Motiva Mono is our monopitch curved roof variant with a steel structure and polycarbonate roofing. With the Mono one side is higher than the other and you’ll often find these canopies located against building elevations.

We can construct in virtually any size but some options are more cost-effective. Standard widths are in 700mm increments but any length is achievable. All you need to do is contact us and we can meet almost any requirement. With any of our fantastic colours available for the steelwork and options for the roofing, the Motiva Mono can be customised to look great in any surrounding.

What Are The Benefits Of Outdoor Learning and How Can School Canopies Assist with This

There are plenty of benefits of learning outside which help pupils as well as teachers. A point that is usually overlooked is the teacher’s satisfaction of teaching lessons and how the freedom to teach outside can be just as stimulating for them as it is for class. Being in an outdoor setting is healthy and creates positivity for teachers which is usually reflected in their lessons and the way they teach. If a teacher is uninspired, that absence of keenness can carry over into their lessons but putting them in contact with nature can completely adjust the way they perceive teaching.

A contented teacher is a good teacher and one that is enthusiastic about educating children. Introducing a shelter into a school gives both teachers and pupils a chance to explore this together and brings with it a positive sense of freedom. Increasing engagement in school is something every teacher is looking to do and with an outdoor shelter from A&S Landscape, it’s made much easier. The more committed students are with their learning, the more their skills improve and the more assured they become in their abilities.

No more getting wet whilst you wait at the doorway for the children of St John’s. They have ample shelter now, something that they are happy about in both sunny and wet weather. The canopy also looks really smart and brightens up the playground area with its bright red steelwork. A lovely addition to a lovely school.
