School Break Out Areas at St Damiens RC College Ashton-under-Lyne

We were very happy to work with St. Damien’s RC College, providing three smart and uniform shelters, 5000mm x 5000mm, for senior school break out areas. Choosing three Maxima Tepees, St. Damien’s went for a colour scheme of Green (RAL 6026) throughout, giving a really strong aesthetic that fitted in beautifully with their surroundings.

Project Specification

  • Product: Maxima Tepee™
  • Size: 5000mm x 5000mm
  • Steelwork:
    • Opal Green - RAL NO. 6026

  • Fabric:
    • Green

The Maxima Tepee is a terrific option for covering almost any space and it is really flexible too. We can install at pretty much any size so it’s always best to consult with us and find out how we can improve your space. Standard single unit configuration ranges from 3000mm to 15000mm but multiple units (common centre beam and uprights) mean virtually anything is possible, but the first thing we always ask is how our shelters can help you and we move forward from there.

Even though St. Damien’s chose a smart and strong colour scheme with steelwork and fabric in Green RAL 6026, we have fabric in two weights and 17 options of colour as well as further colour options for our post pads. Take a look at our full colours range and ask yourself what would look great in your space.

How Does Learning Outside Positively Effect Children and What Can Schools Do to Help Classes Learn Outdoors

There are all kinds of benefits of learning outside which help school children as well as teaching staff. A factor that is regularly forgotten is the teacher’s enjoyment of teaching lessons and how the freedom to teach outside can be just as inspiring for them as it is for class. Being in an outdoor environment is healthy and breeds positivity for teachers which is regularly reflected in their lessons and the way they teach. If a teacher is uninspired, that loss of energy can carry over into their lessons but putting them in contact with nature can completely transform the way they envisage teaching.

A teacher is a effective teacher and one that is spirited about educating children. Introducing a canopy into a school gives both teachers and children a opportunity to explore this at the same time and brings with it a positive sense of freedom. Improving engagement in school is something every teacher is looking to do and with an school canopy from A&S Landscape, it’s made much easier. The more captivated students are with their learning, the more their skills advance and the more assured they become in their abilities.
