St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School transform unloved area with outdoor dining room

Motiva Duo

“St Wilfrid’s is a large Catholic School and we only had one dining hall which could only seat half the school at a time. Seating and shelter were a massive health and safety issue for us along with budget constraints. We needed a new dining area but we could not afford a new build as a solution.” School Business Manager – St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School

We were delighted when St Wilfrid’s Catholic High School came to us for suggestions of how we could help. We knew that we had just the thing. A curved roof canopy from our Motiva Duo range was installed at 20000mm x 7000mm with glass panels. This allowed heating and lighting to be added and the space was transformed in to a large usable dining room for the pupils.

“The new dining area canopy from A&S Landscape has made a massive difference. Previously it was an unused, rather odd area of the school – now it has a purpose. The lighting and blow heating have also helped. A&S Landscape are an extremely professional company with pride in their work and they could not have done more to make this project go smoothly. A&S Landscape really wanted this canopy to work for us and they explored all solutions until it was right. We initially agreed a price and design, later in the process they came up with a much better design which removed all internal uprights. This was done without us requesting it and they did not charge for the additional work or structural changes.”
