Wolverley CE Secondary School in Worcestershire Add Dining Shelter

What was the project brief?

Wolverley CE Secondary School in Wolverley, Worcestershire needed to add some outdoor dining space to their facilities due to recent rapid growth in the student population. They wanted to be able to create a large area with lots of seating that they could use throughout the year, so a canopy was in their sights.

They approached A&S Landscape due to their great reputation and worked with them to find the right shelter for their school.

What was our dining area canopy solution?

The school initially considered the cheaper Motiva Linear™, but eventually decided that because of the size of the investment and the benefits it would bring, it was worth paying more for the design that really fit the bill: the Motiva Duo™. They loved the curved, duopitch (symmetric) roof, which is ideal for standalone structures like their new free standing canopy. They were so pleased with the health and safety regulations and the sensitivity of the A&S Landscape contractors that they were happy for the canopy to be installed during term time, rather than a school holiday. The Slate Grey steelwork complemented the surrounding buildings, and the Opal polycarbonate roof would provide adequate shelter for many hungry students while protecting them from both the rain, and UV rays on sunny days.

What was the result of their new shelter?

Wolverley CE Secondary School was delighted with their new canopy cover and, as they were so impressed with our service, they even gave us a glowing testimonial. Anthony Derrer (the school’s Business Manager) commented that he loved seeing Year 7’s reaction to the shelter when they joined the following September; it was like it had always been there! The impact that this clever dining area canopy had on the school was incredible. It reduced pressure on their indoor facilities, and there was even space to install both lots of benches and a catering pod to offer more dining options. It can be used all year round and allows students to enjoy having more fresh air in their school day.

Working alongside our building contractor client A&S created a curved roof canopy for Crowle C Of E First School, School Lane, Crowle, Worcestershire . The full contract involved one Motiva™ Duo duopitch curved roof canopy measuring 5700mm X 5400mm with Alu-Tuff™ aluminium box profile guttering and downpipes in matching Dura-coat™ colour finish.

St Mary’s Catholic Primary School Add Straight Roof Shelter

We erected a straight polycarbonate roof canopy at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School, Broadway, Worcestershire. The contract included the supply and installation of one Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy measuring 10000mm X 5600mm including for our Alu-Tuff™ aluminium box profile guttering and downpipes in matching Dura-coat™ colour finish with glazed panels to the top half of the front elevation and dismantling of the existing shelter.

Wyre Forest School Add Playground Polycarbonate Canopy

Working alongside our contractor client we made a straight polycarbonate roof canopy at Wyre Forest School, Habberley Road, Kidderminster, Worcestershire. The full contract involved the supply and installation of one Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy measuring 7000mm X 4000mm with Alu-Tuff™ aluminium box profile guttering and downpipes in matching Dura-coat™ colour finish.
