Dining Shelter at The Earls School

Outdoor dining areas for students are really important, adding an additional social zone to many schools. This is something we were particularly mindful of when installing this opal roofed dining shelter in the West Midlands.

The Earls School wanted to make sure its students had somewhere outside to eat, meet and greet whatever the weather, so we installed this Motiva Duo at 7000mm x 6000mm in an attractive Blue (RAL 5010) steelwork.

Commenting that the quality of service was excellent, The Earls School also noted that this was in spite of the difficult conditions on the site. The truth is, we can work in almost any conditions to ensure you get exactly the results you want.

The Benefits of Eating Outdoors and What Schools Can Do To Facilitate Alfresco Dining

There is a lot of research that indicates the benefits of spending time outside; reducing heart rate, blood pressure, stress hormones and muscle tension. It can also uplift your mood. Enhancements in attention, memory and concentration have also been shown.

Spending time outdoors improves Vitamin D levels (an important hormone that helps to protect against a variety of diseases such as osteoporosis, depression, heart attacks and stroke). It is stated in studies that many of us do not get a sufficient amount of this important vitamin, so more time outside is central to help address this deficiency.

“We were really impressed with the quality of the canopies, they look great, much appreciated by students, staff and governors. The quality of service was excellent considering the difficulties posed by the site.”
