Project – Maxima Umbrellas create outdoor shelter at Holywell Learning Campus

Product – Maxima Umbrella

Requirement – Have you ever looked at a photograph and thought ‘it just feels right’. Something about the way it was taken means it looks like an incredible picture but, in truth, you can’t exactly explain why.

You just experienced composition.

There are certain ways to frame a photograph that means it appears more accessible to the human brain. These ‘rules’ of composition are known by amateur and professional photographers alike but the principle is seen the world over and in everything we do

Great design is the framework behind the experience of ‘it just feels right’ and you know it when you see it.

A&S Landscape was approached to work on a job at Holywell Learning Campus in Flintshire. They were looking to add something with a little flair to the outdoor areas, something to give shade from the sun and protection from the rain whilst also adding something fun.

Solution – We installed two Maxima Umbrellas, each supported on a single upright, at 6000mm x 6000mm, featuring sunny yellow steelwork (RAL 1033) with white fabric. The Maxima Umbrellas instantly added to the spaces but also complement the colours found in the playground flooring and the school colours themselves.

Result – The result is outdoor fabric canopies that fit neatly in the space whilst adding a spark of imagination to the clean lines of the school.

In short, it just feels right.
