Branston Community Academy in Lincoln create new outdoor dining area
Enclosed outdoor dining canopy with roller shutter doors at school in Lincoln
Branston Community Academy in Lincoln wanted to add not one but three covered areas to their campus. The largest would create outdoor dining space to help ease congestion in the dining hall at meal times. The dining area needed to be enclosed to ensure it was secure and offered optimal shelter from the elements.
A&S Landscape worked with the school to design a bespoke outdoor dining shelter constructed from steel and polycarbonate. The canopy measured 19552mm x 9131mm and was fitted with polycarbonate side panels and 2 x 2.5m roller shutter doors. The steel work was Traffic Blue and the roofing Opal polycarbonate. The canopy created the secure, sheltered area that the school was looking for and they completed it by adding picnic benches for the students.
The outdoor dining area at Branston Community Academy has created a fabulous dining and socialising area for students. The perfect solution for a growing school who found crowding at lunchtimes a problem. Now students can enjoy more seating space whatever the weather. Not only does the area protect the students from the wet weather, it also shelters them from wind and protects them from UV rays on brighter days. A real all year round solution.
