Wyre Forest School teaches pupils with social and communication difficulties and has a lovely campus designed to best meet the needs of their children. One of the important aspects is to offer space for pupils to enjoy the outdoors. The school had a nice space alongside one of the classrooms which never had a real purpose and due to the weather, sometimes the space was unusable. It was decided that a school canopy would transform the space and provide many more options.
Wyre Forest School brought A&S Landscape on board and we were delighted to offer some suggestions and design advice. It was decided that the area would benefit from a Motiva Linear steel and polycarbonate canopy. Installed to an overall size of 7000mm x 4000mm, the canopy was large enough to house play tables and other equipment used by the children.
The school canopy is nice and bright, installed with Red (RAL 3020) steelwork and an opal polycarbonate roof. It is a lovely option to have, should any of the pupils need some quiet time or a space to relax and take in some fresh air. The teachers might decide to take some of their lessons in the fresh air, even if the sun is hot or the rain is coming down. Whatever they decide, we hope they enjoy it all year round.
A&S Landscape has a large selection of canopies, from fabric to steel and polycarbonate in a number of different designs. You can see over 1000 images of our work on our gallery.
