Members desired more access to the club’s padel court as the game grew in popularity. However, the weather conditions in Lancashire meant court usage was irregular. Wind, rain and cold limited play sessions and members sometimes found it challenging to book their preferred slot. For this reason, David Lloyd Chorley looked for a long-term solution that offered good protection without compromising the site’s aesthetic.

A&S Landscape worked in close partnership with the team at David Lloyd for several months to find a long-term solution that would be give them value for money. The club undertook rigorous comparisons of the canopy’s long-term lifespan and value before deciding that A&S Landscape was the right choice of supplier. We assisted David Lloyd with their choice, guiding them on different choices for the structure while producing proposals.
After review and planning, a single Motiva Padel™ canopy structure was erected at the site. It is designed to offer complete overhead cover without the restriction on views or light.
The padel court canopy features with a curved roof design system and steel framework. Completed with a lovely finish, it creates a clean, modern aesthetic that complements the club. The polycarbonate roof was chosen because it was durable and perfect for wind and rain.
Structure: Features a durable and clean steel frame.
Roofing: Steel system for maximum rain protection to support play for more hours throughout the week.
Design: Curved Motiva Padel™ canopy designed to maintain stability during gameplay by removing any excess water with speed and consistency.
Durability: Built to withstand Lancashire weather conditions, the padel court canopy will perform well for many years.
Finish: Smooth, sophisticated and designed to blend with the premium leisure facility without detracting from the club’s current appearance.

David Lloyd Chorley went through a thorough selection process before committing to the project. Several canopy systems were reviewed, and the focus was on long-term durability, performance, and value for money.
A&S Landscape’s team worked closely with David Lloyd for months, providing input, technical support, and comparing options based on their performance in terms of lifespan and maintenance needs. As a result, the club was able to make an informed decision based on long-term investment value, as opposed to the more appealing short-term cost.
Once these assessments were complete, A&S Landscape was chosen because of the strength and reliability of the Motiva™ system, but more so, because of our proven delivery approach.
The Motiva Padel™ canopy system from A&S Landscape will allow David Lloyd Chorley to offer members top-quality and reliable services all year round. It protects the court from harsh weather while keeping the space open and easy to use.
A&S Landscape was able to deliver a solution and long-term benefit, that provided the balance and value the club needed.
