Motiva Linear™

The staff at St Mary’s Centre in London wanted to get better use out of their outside space. They decided to add several sheltered areas to their site and bought A&S Landscape on board.

A total of three straight roof canopies were installed at the school, at various spots around the grounds. All of the Motiva Linear shelters feature signal green steelwork, which adds a pop of joyful colour to the area. Opal coloured polycarbonate roofing was also used, which provides essential protection from harmful UV rays. As an extra safety measure, the school decided to add dark green post pads to all the canopies too.

One of the canopies has created a covered walkway leading into one of the buildings. This means that the staff and pupils can move between classrooms without getting wet or damaging their books. Classes can also line up outside before their lessons throughout the year too. Or parents could wait under the cover at the end of the school day if the conditions were poor.

The two other shelters are used as playground covers, enabling the pupils to spend their break times outside. The fresh air will help the children refresh properly before their next lessons and will have many benefits on their health and wellbeing.

A&S Landscape’s versatile products have a range of uses, from dining area shelters to bike stores. With over 40 years of experience, we have worked with hundreds of schools across the UK.
