Fabric Shade Sails Added to Sprouts Playbarn in Abingdon
Having considered the canopy options that were available, Sprouts Play Barn decided upon two shade sails from the Maxima range of fabric canopies. The sails covered 12m x 6m. The structure was made up of two shade sails on six uprights. The bright yellow shade cloth looks amazing against the colourful play area and for added safety they included post pads, also in yellow just to complete the sunny picture.
Wow! What a wonderful space they have created. The children can play in an engaging, large, open space which has plenty of shade to protect their young, delicate skin. Another magical place for the children to enjoy on their visit to Sprouts Play Barn, no wonder there are so many visitors. With this fabulous covered outdoor space, it is hard to know where the children will choose to play, they are spoilt for choice.

NOA’s Ark Nursery Add Large Fabric Playground Shade in Banbury
The garden areas have lots of activities for the children including sand and water play and space for reading and stories. It was lacking shade and shelter though, so this space was only available to the children when it was dry and not too sunny. This seemed like a waste and so the addition of a UV and waterproof canopy was the perfect solution.
The canopy chosen came from our Maxima range. It comprised a Yellow shade sail, installed on 5 posts which were Signal Green (RAL 6032). The resulting structure is large, bright, water and UV proof and creates a wonderful new area for the children. Rain will no longer stop play and there is no need to limit outdoor time on the hottest days either.
The result is a wonderful, functional outdoor area for the children at NOA’s Ark, which can be enjoyed all year round. The fabric is bright and engaging and complements the new nursery building perfectly. The quality of the products means that the canopy will be enjoyed for many years to come. There are many designs, shapes and sizes of school canopies, from fabric ones to steel and polycarbonate structures from our Motiva range.

Lord Williams’s Lower School in Thame Adds Attractive Outdoor Canopy
Lord Williams’s Lower School in Thame, Oxfordshire wanted an outdoor shelter in order to improve facilities for its students. The team at this institution – which has excellent teaching facilities and is proud to be an inclusive school – thought that their ideal canopy would be versatile and able to work as a dining and socialising shelter, have an appealing but unobtrusive design and offer great coverage in bad weather.
After getting in touch with A&S Landscape, Lord Williams’s Lower School chose to have a Motiva Duo™ installed on-site. This model was a fantastic choice as it is well-suited to outdoor dining areas and more, thanks to its duopitch curved roof design. The galvanised steelwork and Opal roof created a classic look that blended in with the existing architecture, and the high quality of these materials meant that students could enjoy their breaks outdoors in all weathers without worrying about getting wet or windswept!
Everyone loves the new outdoor canopy. Staff could use the space as an outdoor classroom shelter, and the children now have more options of where to spend their break times dining or hanging out with friends. Plus, being able to experience more time in the fresh air year-round has great benefits for their mental health. Call A&S Landscape on 01743 444100 to start your shelter journey today.
