Timber Canopy at Handsworth Wood Girls’ Academy in Birmingham

The staff at King Edward VI Handsworth Wood Girls’ Academy wanted to get better use out of their outdoor areas once the students returned for the new term.

What was the project brief?

A&S Landscape was asked to install a timber frame canopy which would provide UV protection for the students. Our design team worked very closely with the academy to create a structure which would meet all of the requirements while staying in budget.

Which timber canopy solution did we use?

After careful planning, we decided to use our Motiva Linear™ straight roof canopy design, swapping the steel for a timber frame. Our expert installation team fitted the shelter before the start of the new term so the newly created covered space could be used from the first day back.
