Project Details

Rushcliffe School is a large secondary school in West Bridgford in Nottinghamshire. They are a growing school with nearly 1650 pupils. As pupil numbers have grown, so has the need for more outdoor seating and dining space. The children need to have the option to socialise and eat in shade and shelter, right throughout the year.

When the senior management team decided to look at a covered area, they began talks with A&S Landscape to look at the options. Having identified where they wanted the canopy it was then down to agreeing the best design. The LRC quad had been an unloved, unused area of the school which flooded. The idea of giving it a new lease of life was very exciting.

Rushcliffe School decided on a ste-el and polycarbonate canopy from the Motiva Duo range. It was installed at 16000mm x 8000mm with Green RAL6005 steelwork and an opal polycarbonate roof.

The children are pleased to have another area outside to enjoy. No more worrying about finding a seat to eat their lunch. Now they can socialise and eat at their leisure, encouraging social interaction and better eating habits. As we all know, when children have eaten well they can concentrate better and this leads to improved focus and learning. All this from a new canopy. A great result!

From Shade Sails, Umbrellas and Tepees, to straight or curved roof steel canopies, A&S Landscape have a range which is sure to offer you something special. We can help you from the beginning planning stages, right through to installation. Feel free to look through our gallery, which has more than 1500 images to inspire you.

Dear Sirs

I would highly recommend A&S Landscape, we are very pleased with the canopy. We have had no issues with it, it works as per the specification and we would always get A&S Landscape involved in future projects for canopies around the school should the need arise.
