Project – Queen Eleanor’s C of E Junior School add tepee canopy in Surrey
Product – Maxima Tepee
Requirement – Queen Eleanor’s C of E Junior School in Guildford, Surrey, wanted to make better use of an area in their school grounds. The staff decided to install a large canopy where the pupils could sit during break and lunchtimes, which would also relieve pressure from the dining hall. A&S Landscape worked closely with the school to create the perfect shelter for their needs.
Solution – A Maxima Tepee structure was installed on the school campus, measuring a total of 10000mm x 10000mm. The material used on the Ivory coloured roof is made with a PVC waterproof fabric, so the canopy can be used in all weather conditions. The Opal Green steelwork contrasts with the neutral roof to create a striking effect. Queen Eleanor’s C of E Junior School also chose to include post protector pads to complete the canopy.
Result – The pupils can now sit outside during their break times without having to worry about the weather. The tepee has become a very popular addition to the school, as it provides an additional social and study space. The pupils can also enjoy some fresh air during the school day, helping them to refresh ahead of their next lessons.
