Outdoor Canopies at Corvedale C of E Primary School Shropshire

We’ve had a great deal of work installing outdoor canopies for schools in Shropshire and we recently had the chance to add an outdoor classroom to Corvedale C of E Primary School.

With the desire to extend the classroom space outside, giving students chance to get more natural light and spend more time outdoors throughout the year, this Motiva Cantilever canopy, measuring 15000mm x 3000mm with an opal roof and Blue (RAL 5002) steelwork has made a huge difference. The excellent Headteacher commented that ‘The design of the canopy enhances the look of the school and fits well on the site.’ which is high praise indeed. Thanks for having us!

How schools can create more teaching space with outdoor classrooms and what items are needed to equip these?

Schools increasingly need to acquire additional space to teach pupils either as a class or in smaller focus groups. Instead of looking inside, there is more often than not unused space outside a school.

Outdoor classrooms can not only offer essential space but also a stimulating learning environment for pupils and teachers alike. This change of scene can spark greater concentration and rejuvenate interest in a subject matter. Even the largest of outdoors spaces must be provided with some necessities if they are to be used for outdoor classrooms.

Straight Roof Shelter Installed at Ellesmere Co-Op

Working for a specialist firm of architects our engineers designed a straight polycarbonate roof canopy with side panels for Ellesmere Co-Op 25-29 Cross Street, Ellesmere, Shropshire. Working for our building contractor client we produced a straight polycarbonate roof canopy at Meole Brace CE Primary School, Meole Brace, Shrewsbury, Shropshire. The contract included the supply and installation of one Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy measuring 4000mm X 3000mm with Alu-Tuff™ aluminium box profile guttering and downpipes in matching Dura-coat™ colour finish.

Ark Day Nursery Add Four Playground Canopies

In collaboration with our building contractor client our team produced four canopies for Ark Day Nursery, Pontesbury, Shrewsbury, Shropshire. The contract included the supply and installation of four canopies.  One Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy measuring 7500mm X 3000mm, one Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy measuring 9450mm X 3000mm, one Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy measuring 16500mm X 3000mm and one Motiva™ Cantilever straight roof canopy measuring 3000mm X 1650mm.  All canopies included for our Alu-Tuff™ aluminium box profile guttering and downpipes in matching Dura-coat™ colour finish.

Fabric Shade Sail Designed for Sir John Talbots School And Sixth Form

Working alongside a specialist firm of architects our team produced a shade sail structure at Sir John Talbots School And Sixth Form, Whitchurch, Shropshire. The job involved one 5000mm x 5000mm Maxima™ tensile shade cloth fabric sail comprising one sail on  four uprights including for all stainless steel fixtures and fittings with four post protector pads.

Hollinswood Primary School Add Straight Roof Shelter

In combination with a specialist firm of architects our engineers erected a straight polycarbonate roof canopy at Hollinswood Primary School, Telford, Shropshire. The job involved one Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy measuring 12000mm X 11000mm including  Alu-Tuff™ aluminium box profile guttering and downpipes in matching Dura-coat™ colour finish. Also the supply and installation of one glazed panel from the top of the existing building to the top of the canopy.

Working with our building contractor client our engineers designed a straight polycarbonate roof canopy at St Laurence Primary School – Ludlow, Jockeyfield, Ludlow, Shropshire.

St Andrews CE Primary School Add Playground Canopy

Working alongside our building contractor client our engineers created a straight polycarbonate roof canopy for St Andrews CE Primary School, Shifnal, Shropshire. The full contract involved the supply and installation of one Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy measuring 10200mm X 4000/1200mm and included for our Alu-Tuff™ aluminium box profile guttering and downpipes in matching Dura-coat™ colour finish.

Multicoloured Polycarbonate Shelter Designed for St Lawrence Primary School

In collaboration with a specialist architectural practice our engineers created a straight polycarbonate roof canopy in St Lawrence Primary School, Preston-Upon-The-Wealdmoors, Telford, Shropshire. The job involved one Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy and included for our Alu-Tuff™ aluminium box profile guttering and downpipes which were coated in a matching Dura-coat™ colour finish.
