What was the project brief?

Green shade sails we installed at Chobham Adventure FarmChobham Adventure Farm in Chobham wanted three shade sails, with over a dozen posts between them, which could cover their outdoor dining area and sandpit. They needed something that could allow visitors to eat and play outside throughout the year, with a stylish and interesting design that reflected their branding. We were thrilled when the staff got in touch with us and endeavoured to provide them with shelters that could help them to make their impressive offering to their customers even better.

What was our shade sail solution?

We talked through the various options available with Chobham Adventure Farm and they ultimately settled on our Maxima Sail™. This stunning model is available in shade cloth or waterproof fabric and has the longest guarantees in the market, so it was ideal for shielding customers from the elements. The team asked us to finish the steelwork in Slate Grey and selected Aniseed fabric covers for their sheltered seating area canopies, and this effectively extended Chobham Adventure Farm’s branding into their outdoor facilities. We also supplied the trio of shelters with a total of 16 posts, which created plenty of space for people to enjoy eating in the fresh air with family and friends and for children to play safely in the sandpit – all while being protected from sun and rain.

What was the result of the shelters?

About the client

Chobham Adventure Farm is an indoor and outdoor play area designed to promote intergenerational fun. They have an indoor play frame for under 3s, as well as a more challenging frame for children and adults to experience together. There are also daily meet and greets in their Animal Barn, a large outdoor area including slides and zipwires, and a variety of food available which supports the local community. The staff were really accommodating, and we hope our canopies bring even more smiles to the faces of their visitors.

This client is based in Chobham, a village near Woking in Surrey. The county has plenty of attractions to keep people like the customers of Chobham Adventure Farm busy, from a range of beautiful gardens to countryside perfect for outdoor pursuits like horse riding and cycling. Plus, its proximity to London means that a day trip in either direction is a fantastic option to get away from daily life.

How can public attractions make use of canopies?

Fabric shade sail we installed at Carden Park Hotel and SpaAttractions can install shelters on their grounds to improve the experience of their visitors. Dining canopies can allow them to sit and enjoy lunch and snacks with loved ones outside in all seasons, while a waterproof sail shade can create a covered relaxation or seating area for them to enjoy peaceful moments. Covered walkway systems can be added to public attractions so customers and staff alike can move around sites with more ease in bad weather. Also, entrance shelters can make the ways in to different buildings stand out so navigation is simpler for newcomers.

No matter what sort of canopy they’re interested in and whether they’re a park or outdoor play facility, it’s clear that our products bring great benefits to public attractions. If you’d like to find out more, send us an email at [email protected].
