What was the project brief?

Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni in Llangefni, Wales wanted an outdoor canopy to make its facilities more appealing to its team, students and visitors alike and make its school branding more present in the grounds there. It therefore needed to have a great impact on the surroundings – visually with a strong blue design and practically through offering effective protection from the elements. The perfect model would also be versatile and not limited to one type of use. The team wanted to work with a professional company that could get the job done with no problems, and we rose to the task.

In our efforts to meet their needs with a tailored solution, we looked at the most suitable options with Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni and they chose a Motiva Duo™. This product has lots of opportunities for personalisation, whether a client represents an academic institution, business or organisation. It was ideal for this customer’s requirements for focusing on branding as we were able to supply it with Gentian Blue steelwork which reflected their colours wonderfully, and this was complemented by an Opal polycarbonate roof. What’s more, the shelter was a brilliant size for outdoor dining or learning for large groups of people, so the school wouldn’t have to worry about it having restricted applications.

What was the result of the new outdoor shelter?

Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni was really pleased with its A&S Landscape canopy; it provides a space for students and staff to gather in all seasons of the year, no matter the weather, and the grounds have never looked better thanks to the fun, sleek design. The chosen colours were perfect for showing off their branding and placing it in the minds of visitors from their first impression. Also, learners can experience the mental health benefits of being outside more often by dining and socialising under the outdoor shelter. About the client

Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni serves the centre of Anglesey with 47 teaching staff and 22 support staff educating and encouraging its 655 students. It says on its website that ‘diversity, equality, respect and empathy are values we endeavour to uphold’, and it promotes a Welsh ethos and the importance of including the Welsh language in schools by being a bilingual institution. The team aims to help children become able to compete in further education and work after their time there. We thoroughly enjoyed supplying this customer’s canopy and we appreciated their warm welcome and positive feedback.

Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni is situated in Llangefni, Anglesey’s county town and principal administrative centre.
