Pembrey Primary School in Burry Port add an Outdoor Shade Sail
The new shade sail supplied and installed at Pembrey Primary School in Burry Port has been a great addition to the playground, providing the young children with a wide space to play under and be sheltered from both sun and rain. The finished canopy is both modern and eye-catching due to its sleek design and bright colour.

What was the project brief?
Pembrey Primary School were looking to add a canopy to their playground which would allow children to have a wide, open area to play under whilst being protected from unpleasant weather. The school were attracted to our Maxima Sail™ design and worked with our canopy consultants to see how this design could work in their space.
What was our canopy solution?
After consultation, the school opted for our Maxima Sail™ solution with waterproof fabric roofing for year-round protection; the canopy measures 6000mm X 6000mm and features four of our post-protector pads in a mid-blue shade. In line with our quality promises, we used a Pure White Duracoat™ on all posts for a robust and corrosion-resistant finish. A Victoria Blue waterproof fabric was chosen for the roof to compliment the design, and to tie in with the school’s branding.
About the client
Pembrey Primary School are based in Burry Port, South Wales. The Headteacher, Helen Jacob, shares that, “Pembrey Primary School is a special place. Our children are happy, motivated, enthusiastic and independent learners”. The school encourages the motto, “We Care, We Share, For the Future We Prepare” and also “Gofalu, Rhannu, Darparu” in Welsh. We hope that the children at the school have fun playing under the canopy for many years to come.
