Curved Roof Shelter at Sir Thomas Rich’s School in Oakleaze

Sir Thomas Rich’s School in Oakleaze, Gloucester, is a grammar school for boys with a mixed sixth form.

What was the project?

They wanted to bring back to life an under-used area of their campus. In doing so, the school’s plan was to create an area for multi-purpose usage, accommodating activities including outdoor dining and learning. The canopy cover recommended in this project was the Motiva Duo™. The trademark ‘Duo’ is a fabulously versatile steel shelter frame canopy. With a curved roof and sturdy steel structure, the canopy architecture of this model lends itself well to a range of uses.

The Sir Thomas Rich’s School project measured in at ten meters by five meters and was finished in Sapphire Blue (RAL 5003) steelwork with Opal polycarbonate roofing.
