Social Value
Our Impact
At A&S Landscape we take great pride in how we care for our people, whether that’s the team in our head office or our local community around us. For almost 50 years, we have made our social value a priority and continuously looked for ways we can further improve and develop our work. Although we’re proud of what we have achieved so far, we know this is an ongoing process which we will carry into the next 50 years of business and beyond.

Charity Work
As well as regularly donating to charities nominated by our team, we also actively seek ways of raising additional funds. Earlier in 2024 four members of the team took part in Cancer Research’s Tough Mudder run, raising over £1,000 for this vital charity.
Who we support
We’re committed to making a difference beyond our daily work by introducing a monthly charity donation scheme. Every month, we will be selecting a charity to support, providing help to schemes which resonate with our team. We want to make a difference at both a regional and national level, including smaller charities who help vulnerable groups to established schemes which address nationwide challenges.
Severn Hospice
For May, our team have chosen to support Severn Hospice, a local organisation who carry out vital work across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales. This charity provides specialist care and support to those living with incurable illnesses. Established in 1989, Severn Hospice have supported thousands of people through difficult moments by providing medical care, and emotional and bereavement support. Their mission is to ‘provide the highest standards of specialist palliative and specialist end-of-life care through a range of hospice services, ‘here and at home’, that recognise the individual and their preferences.’ All of the care they provide is free of charge, but they have to raise £2 for every £3 they spend. This means that every donation plays a pivotal role in funding and supporting the organisation, allowing them to keep making a difference to those in need. Community Recycle Scheme
Launched during the Covid-19 pandemic, we were a founder of the national Community Recycle Scheme which donates a range of outdoor equipment to schools across the UK. Since 2020, over £16,000 worth of items have been donated to over 50 schools. This includes a range of shade sails, fencing, benches and post pad protectors.
The scheme is still live and so far we have been able to donate to a further 15 schools in 2024. If you are interested in requesting an item, please click here to visit the site.
Grants for Schools
For over five years we have been regularly publishing and updating our comprehensive grants guide for schools. This is updated by our research team, who search and source grant opportunities open to schools within the UK. After working with schools for almost 50 years, our team are aware of the financial difficulties many have been facing so it was important to us to help raise awareness of possible funding streams. The latest version of our Grants Guide, can be downloaded here.
