Community Recycle Scheme Logo

Community Recycle is a scheme established by companies operating within the external school environment sector. The initiative collects, coordinates and donates overstocked, unsellable items, returned goods and second-hand equipment to schools in our communities across the UK. It’s a great scheme that ensures goods, that would otherwise be left in storage or even go to landfill, are put to good use in the community, saving schools money and brightening up school grounds across the UK.

The types of material currently include:

Polycarbonate sheets
Shade sails
Post pads
Outdoor furniture items

If your school wants any item listed on this page please click on the link to let to us know.

Notton House Primary School

“As Headteacher, along with Rio, year 7, stood next to me, we are very grateful for the donation of the plant pot. It sits proudly in reception, showing all of our staff, young people, their families, and visitors, that the Notton House Core Values of Safety, Kindness, and Respect, are embraced in everything we do. We simply love our Core Values Tree! Every young person who attends Notton, has their name and award displayed on this.”

Michelle Reysenn
Headteacher, Notton House Academy

“We would like to thank the scheme for the generous donation to Monksdown Primary School. We will put the shade sail to good use to support the children in their outdoor learning. The lovely new canopy will be very welcome in the beautiful weather that I’m sure will reappear again soon!”

Please note that demand is very high, while we would love to provide materials to every school it is not always possible. Please be mindful of other schools and only request one item. Items on this page may have already been allocated to another school.

We expect that materials donated will not be sold on and that you will take responsibility for responsible disposal if necessary.
