Bluebells Short Break Unit in Kent were in need of a canopy solution to provide shelter outside of their lounge and dining area. Our rainbow roof canopy, has provided a blend of functionality and fun! Featuring vibrant colours that transmits colourful lights across the pathway below.

What was the project brief?
The team at Bluebells Short Break Unit reached out to us with a need for a walkway canopy that would provide shelter whilst creating a fun and eye-catching space. The canopy was to be installed outside the lounge and dining room, creating a sheltered are for the staff and children to use – keeping them dry during periods of wetter weather, but also creating a sheltered space for them to enjoy in the summer months – protected from harsh UV. The team loved our rainbow-inspired designs, which use colourfully infused polycarbonate roofing, and wanted to see how we could tailor this for their space.
What was our school canopy solution?
We installed the Motiva Linear™ canopy, measuring 7740mm x 3455mm, making it an ideal fit for the space. The polycarbonate roof includes a selection of our colourful polycarbonate range, including the shades Daffodil, Foxglove, Lagoon, Mandarin, Mint, Poppy, and Violet. The canopy steelwork has been finished in Moss Green Duracoat™, providing a durable and long lasting finish.
About the client
Bluebells Residential Short Break Service is a small children’s care home located just outside of Maidstone in Kent. The team there are dedicated to providing short-term respite care for children and young people with disabilities, offering a welcoming and supportive environment.
