Playground Canopy at Riverside Special School in Goole

Riverside Special School in Goole needed a playground shelter so its pupils could get the benefits of spending time outside on any day they wished to, in any season. The team thought that the canopy should be hard-wearing and attractive.

What did the project involve?

A&S Landscape installed a 12000mm X 4000mm Motiva Linear™ at Riverside Special School for its playground canopy. This was a great choice because of its robust, solid steel framework and polycarbonate roof. The staff at this institution – who support children aged from 4 to 18 living with learning difficulties, Autistic Spectrum Conditions, medical or sensory impairments and other needs – requested Slate Grey steelwork and an Opal roof which were appealing and worked well with the other two shelters we had previously added to the school grounds. Now the children have even more options of where to play outdoors, all year round.
