In the News: New Covered Games Area at West Midlands Special School

The Express and Star wrote about the new covered games area at The Brier School in Kingswinford and how it has changed how the children can use their outdoor time.

A&S Landscape worked with The Brier School to help them decide the best way to add a covered space which would change how the children could play and learn outside. As experts in school canopies, A&S Landscape had lots of ideas and suggestions and assisted the school in finding just the right product.

The Covered MUGA™ is a large space, which has allowed children to play quick cricket, have sponsored walks, five a side football, relay races and even time on trikes and bikes for the younger children.

Local paper, The Express & Star came to see the PlayZone area in use and heard first hand from Headteacher Russell Hinton, how the space has transformed the school day for the pupils “Different classes use the PlayZone in rotation when the weather is poor, meaning that everyone has the chance of some fresh air and exercise.”

A&S Landscape offers a range of canopy products, from fabric UmbrellasTepees and StarSails, to linear and curved roof steel and polycarbonate canopies. You can see a full range of projects that we have installed for schools in our gallery.
