Sea-Changers – Main Grants
Sea-Changers grant provides one-off (non-continuous) grants to support marine conservation projects across the UK that address threats to marine and coastal environments or contribute to marine conservation knowledge.
Eligible Organisations
Applications are open to UK-based charities, not-for-profit organisations and schools, with projects delivered within the United Kingdom.
Suitable Projects
The project must aim to meet one or more of the following three objectives:
- Address the root causes of the main threats to marine conservation in the UK
- Prevent and/or reduce the negative impacts on marine environments
- Add knowledge to the field of marine threats and conservation
Application Process
Applicants must complete the relevant Main Grant or Small Grant application form and submit it by email. Main Grant applications are assessed after each deadline, while Small Grant applications can be submitted at any time and are reviewed on a rolling basis.
Important Dates
There are two grant rounds per year. The deadlines are 31st March and 30th September. These deadlines apply to the Main Grants programme, while the Small Grants programme is open year-round.
Funding Range
Main Grants typically range from £500 to £2,500, while Small Grants of up to £500 are also available.
