Greaves and Withey Foundation

The Greaves & Withey Foundation supports capital sports projects that help amateur sport and leave a long-term benefit for local communities. The Foundation was previously known as the Robin Greaves Sports Foundation and was set up in memory of Robin Greaves.

Eligible Organisations

The Foundation accepts applications from charitable organisations that promote sport and recreation. Schools can also apply if they have charitable status and their facilities benefit the wider community.

Suitable Projects

Funding supports projects that improve amateur sport, physical education, and community health. The focus is on capital projects, such as new or improved sports facilities, that offer long-term community use.

Application Process

Applications must be made in writing with details of the funding request. Organisations should email the Charities team at Ludlow Trust Company Ltd to request application guidance or apply through the Ludlow Trust funding portal.

Important Dates

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Funding Range

There is no set maximum grant amount. Past awards have ranged from £7,500 to almost £50,000, depending on the project size and impact.
