R.W.Mann Trust
The R.W.Mann Trust, based in the North East of England, is a private family fund that supports local people. It aims to improve lives in North Tyneside, South Northumberland, and East Newcastle.
Eligible Organisations
To be eligible to apply, the organisation must be a charity or not-for-profit group. This includes youth groups, schools, and colleges that support disadvantaged or minority communities. The Trust also supports councils for voluntary services and advice agencies, but it does not fund individuals or most national charities.
Suitable Projects
There are no set guidelines for the types of projects accepted. Projects should support people with the greatest need and benefit the local community. This can include youth activities, disability support, help for older people, and school projects like equipment or better learning spaces.
Application Process
There is no official application form, but guidance is on the website. Applications should be sent by post or email to the Trust secretary. Trustees meet regularly, and applicants usually hear back within four weeks of applying.
Important Dates
There are no deadlines, and applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Funding decisions are made throughout the year.
Funding Range
Most grants fall between £500 and £5,000 and may support one-off costs, annual help, or capital projects.
