As a new school, Burleyfields wanted to create outdoor areas that were both practical and welcoming. They needed spaces that would protect pupils and staff from the weather, encourage outdoor learning, and provide covered areas for play and daily activities. The school also needed a secure and tidy area for cycle storage to support its sustainability goals.
Burleyfields Primary and Nursery School turned to A&S Landscape to deliver a full canopy and shelter solution that matched their new facilities and high design standards.
After a full site review and consultation, A&S Landscape supplied and installed a series of canopies and bike shelters designed to meet the school’s needs.
We installed three Motiva Linear™ monopitch straight roof canopies to create covered outdoor spaces around the school. These canopies provided flexible areas for pupils to gather, play, and learn outside, even during poor weather.
To complete the entrance area, we added a Motiva Entrada™ entrance canopy measuring 3,250mm x 2,500mm. This stylish structure gives visitors a great first impression while protecting them from rain and sun when arriving or leaving.
For the school’s active travel plans, we installed six Cyclo Nexis™ bike shelters with integrated racks, providing secure storage for staff and pupils. The shelters are durable, easy to maintain, and designed to withstand daily use.
Each canopy and shelter was colour-matched to complement the new building’s design, creating a consistent and attractive look across the site.
The new canopies and shelters at Burleyfields Primary and Nursery School have transformed the site. Pupils now have protected outdoor areas where they can play and learn in all seasons. The entrance canopy creates a welcoming first impression, while the bike shelters support the school’s commitment to sustainability and healthy living.
A&S Landscape was proud to help Burleyfields achieve their vision for a modern, practical, and inspiring school environment. The completed project supports both staff and pupils, adding lasting value to this exciting new educational setting.
