Nineveh Charitable Trust

Funding is available for projects that promote a better understanding of the environment and countryside, benefiting the general public.

Eligible Organisations

Applications are accepted from UK registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), and schools, and in some cases individual applicants may be considered where the public benefit is clearly defined.

Suitable Projects

Projects and activities that educate children, young people, and the local community about the environment, conservation, and the countryside will be considered for support. Past projects funded in schools include a garden club for children and parents and a school trip to a local forest.

Please note that applications for Forest Schools and similar initiatives are currently very unlikely to be successful due to exceptionally high demand.

Application Process

Proposals must be no longer than two double-sided pages, submitted by post in three copies (one for each Trustee), accompanied by four completed contact forms and, if confirmation of receipt is required, a stamped self-addressed envelope. Trustees review applications quarterly and proposals not received in time are rolled over to the next meeting.

More information can be found on the Trust’s website.

Important Dates

There is no deadline given, as applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Trustees meet once per quarter to consider applications. However, please check the Trust’s website prior to applying in case anything changes.

Funding Range

Grants range from £338 to £10,000, with funding available for both revenue and capital costs. Support may cover full project costs or contribute towards them, and there is no fixed funding limit as awards are guided by investment income and the quality of proposals received.
