Airtricity Community Generation – Green Community Fund
The Green Community Fund provides major financial support for projects that strengthen biodiversity, improve energy efficiency and advance sustainability education across schools and communities in Ireland.
Eligible Organisations
Individual families, groups of children, schools, organisations and registered charities across the UK may apply on behalf of eligible children.
Suitable Projects
Support is available for holidays, respite breaks, residential trips and specially arranged accessible or therapeutic experiences for children with additional needs, including school-led SEN trips.
Application Process
Applicants must download and complete the relevant application form, providing detailed information about the child and the planned holiday. Applications are reviewed at quarterly trustee meetings.
Important Dates
Application deadlines are: 31 December for the February meeting, 31 March for the May meeting, 30 June for the August meeting and 30 September for the November meeting.
Funding Range
Grants of up to £2,000 are available, with awards determined by the Trustees based on need and the details of the proposed holiday or respite care.
