The young children at Mereside Farm Children’s Nursery didn’t have an area where they could play outside in poor weather. A&S Landscape designed and installed a Motiva Cantilever to transform the space.

Located in Solihull, this nursery looks after children from the age of three months to five years old. They aim to ‘give each and every child the best start in life’, and so they identified the need for a sheltered play area. This would allow the children to enjoy time outside in the wind, rain or sun and make better use of the existing playground.

With the help of A&S Landscape, a straight roof cantilever canopy was chosen and installed. This shelter design is ideal for play spaces and is popular amongst other nurseries and schools. The modern grey steelwork works well with the surrounding buildings and the canopy looks as though it has been there forever. The Opal roofing also provides essential protection against UV rays, which is important for children at such a young age.
