St Paul’s CE Primary School in London Cover Playground Area
Slate Grey - RAL NO. 7015
A&S Landscape designed, manufactured and installed a straight roof shelter at the school. Measuring 5m X 4m, there is plenty of space underneath the Motiva Linear for many pupils to play at the same time. Because part of the pre-school is a listed building, the design of the canopy was carefully considered. The steelwork was finished in a subtle Slate Grey and with Opal polycarbonate sheeting on the roof.
Now break times can be spent outside regardless of the weather. The new playground canopy protects the pupils from the rain, sun and snow, allowing them to enjoy the playground and fresh air. The polycarbonate roof also protects against harmful UV rays, so the children can still play in the sun. Outside play equipment can also be stored under the cover, saving space inside the building.
Children are often not in control of the food they have or the exercise they undertake. On top of that, when they exercise, the respiratory implications and body weakness can contribute to embarrassment amongst their peers as they face difficulties moving. However, it is key to endorse healthier eating, more exercise, and support a child who lives with obesity in combating the depression, anxiety, stigma, and the health and academic implications related with obesity, which is a task much more substantial than it first looks to be.
