Whilst the focus is on helping their pupils to achieve their very best, academically, they are also aware of how crucial their spaces are in helping with that.

There’s a playful edge throughout the campus so we knew there was going to be a little sparkle to the design.

Our Motiva Linear was chosen to act as a covered outdoor playground area and we installed at 7000mm x 3000mm in a gorgeous, sunny and evocative yellow paintwork, matched throughout the Alu-Tuff™ box profile guttering with Dura-Coat™ finish.

The addition of Moondust polycarbonate roofing only helped to solidify the tasteful colour choice already made and help this Motiva Linear stand out for years to come.

The benefits and importance on outdoor play on children

Health is detrimentally affected by not getting ample exercise, causing increasing rates of obesity in children and adolescents. Children are not playing outside as much as they used to, restricting their exposure to sunlight and thus the production of Vitamin D which helps to fight infection and keeps skin healthy. Sunlight also helps to regulate the production of melatonin which regulates sleep. Phones and tablets emit damaging blue light, which can cause headaches and eye strain. Blue light in the evenings can even limit the production of melatonin, which in turn can make falling asleep very tough for some children.

So what is the answer to this slippery slope that we find ourselves on… more time outside!

Working for our building contractor client we built two straight polycarbonate roof canopies at Burntstump Seely Academy, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. The contract included the supply and installation of one Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy measuring 9000mm X 4000mm and one Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy measuring 4000mm X 4000mm.

Blue Fabric Sail Shade Designed for Nottingham Girls’ High School

Our team created a waterproof sail structure for Nottingham Girls’ High School, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. The contract included one 5000mm x 5000mm Maxima™ tensile waterproof fabric sail structure comprising of one square sail on four uprights including for all stainless steel fixtures and fittings and four post protector pads.

Straight Roof School Shelter Fitted at Whitegate Primary And Nursery School

Our team designed a straight polycarbonate roof canopy in Whitegate Primary And Nursery School, Middlefell Way, Clifton, Nottingham. The full contract involved the supply and installation of one Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy measuring 11750mm X 6000mm and included for our Alu-Tuff™ aluminium box profile guttering and downpipes which were coated in a matching Dura-coat™ colour finish and post protection pads.

St Johns C Of E Primary School Add Shelter to Play Area with Canopy

Working alongside our building contractor client A&S erected a straight polycarbonate roof canopy at St Johns C Of E Primary School, Worksop, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. The contract included the supply and installation of one Motiva™ monopitch straight roof canopy measuring 11400mm X 5820mm.

Ashby School Add Secure Bicycle Store to Campus

Our engineers designed a cycle store in Ashby School, Nottingham Road, Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire. The contract included one Cyclo ‘City’ cycle store unit measuring 12320mm x 2000mm allowing for 15 cycle racks to accommodate 30 cycles.

Working for our building contractor client A&S erected a straight polycarbonate roof canopy at The Trinity Catholic Voluntary Academy, Aspley, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire. The full contract involved one Motiva™ Cantilever straight roof canopy measuring 2400mm X 1800mm.
